for the first time in my life, the other day, i walked into a record store and there wasn't anything that i wanted to buy. not one thing excited me or made me think "ooh i'd like that". it saddens me a lot because i think i've completely lost interest in buying legal music or anything that isn't in a digital format. i never thought i'd grow out of that, i thought i was one of these people who really values 'proper' music in the 'proper' format... part of me wonders if i'm a sellout or whether i've been completely absorbed by the modern generation. i don't know. i still listen to a lot of stuff that most people my age wouldn't have the first clue about. i barely listen to the pop charts. i guess that's not really the point though. the only thing that really interests me now, in terms of buying things like cd's, is buying dvd's. i still enjoy buying those because it takes such a long time to download movies and then once you've put them on disc they won't necessarily work in your dvd player. so its nice when you have an authentic disc. pfffft. pathetic huh?

i like buying CD's and stuff, but only records if the art on it is looks good or interesting, because i dont have a record player any more! i tend to download music 'legally' then if i like it ill buy the cd.. somehow makes me think that i'll have that music forever then. hopefully cds wont go the way of the cassette >.>

i thought i'd always be obsessed with my music collection but these days it's more about collecting rare mp3's than rare cds... makes me feel guilty in a strange sort of way lol, like digital music isnt real or something, i dunno, i'm odd.

I'm a bit sceptical about online music stores.. what if Apple went bankrupt, what happens to iTunes? Okay everyone says it might never happen but a lot of big companies have gone down the tubes recently! Either lose the music you've paid for or someones got a hell of a lot of server bills! CD's are 'safe' i75.photobucket.com/albums/i316/lifedrinker69/smiles/headbang.gif [/IMG]
