www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/story/310749p-265879c.html" Last Days," Gus Van Sant's Cannes competition entry, is only loosely "inspired by" the final hours of Kurt Cobain's life. The main character is named Blake and there are no Nirvana songs in the movie. Still, the similarities are striking. And Van Sant reveals that the initial idea came from Cobain's widow, Courtney Love. "She said to me, 'You should really do a film about Kurt sometime.' But how do you accomplish that without going down the cliche road? And, officially, nobody knows what happened."

Ummm... Ok. I guess ill have to see it before i judge it, but i dont know about it. Kurt wasnt a professional junkie, he was a musician. If you want to make a movie with Kurt being the basis of the character, then make it about MUSIC!

a friend of mine from another message board has been to see it - she lives in san francisco and only one cinema in the whole city was showing it, that's mad! but yeah, i think it's on in cinemas now, but with limited availability. like my local cinema would never show it because it only shows big blockbusters and weird foreign films, lol. i guess it really depends where you live (which sucks for me lol) i'm sure it'll be out on dvd though

foreign films rock!!! lol - some of 'em do - some of 'em are horrendously bad mostly cos people don't always get the humour or the language is different and the subtitles don't convey the meaning properly
