i watched this late last night on a music channel called Scuzz, i think i only saw the end... it seemed to be mostly interviews with Tom Grant (www.justiceforkurt.com i think) who courtney hired as a private detective. Nick Broomfield also interviewed a guy called "El Douche" who was supposedly offered $50,000 by Courtney to "whack" Kurt, in the man's own words that really pissed me off, it was some random fat toothless jackass and he was talking about shooting Kurt's head off.. they interviewed kurt's Aunt Mary and she seemed really really nice, she was teaching in schools about the effect of drugs and she played a song on her guitar and talked about Kurt; they also played some tapes of Kurt speaking into a tape machine with the reverb way up and he kept saying 'Boddah' and it would echo back at him, and he found that really funny and they showed an old home movie of Kurt when he was a teeanger, it was really weird watching it because he looked just the same except like he'd shrunk, lol, not that i haven't seen pictures of him when he was young but this was a video so it was different..
Nick Broomfield was invited to some kind of journalism convention and Courtney Love was the guest speaker, and he got up there on the podium to talk and said, "I find it very ironic that tonight's speaker is a person who has harrassed and threatened journalists" amongst other things, fair play to the man, he went up there in front of everyone and said that, and then he got pulled off the stage they showed Courtney at the Oscars in 1997 (the year the programme was made) and she was scarily like a normal boring schmoozy celebrity obviously some things have changed since then.
they showed footage of other bands from the time such as Zeke and they also interviewed Courtney's "Bio Dad" Hank, he claimed that she had murdered Kurt, it was weird to see him saying that about his own daughter but then again her family was never exactly 100% normal (whose family is, i hear you ask )....
has anyone else seen this programme? it was very interesting. most of all, it showed how much power Courtney has over people, because the funding for the programme was dropped because she put pressure on the people who were supplying the money...
