the Livejournal.com user stiener posted it at the cobainshrine community.. IT'S SOOOOOO GOOD the guy that wrote this has pretty much summed up ALL my beliefs in one article fucking great www.ultimate-guitar.com/columns/artists_discussions/regarding_nirvana.htmlhere is an extract.. "But... As Jimi Hendrix once said, "once you die, you're set for life." Regardless of how or why Kurt died, or who is really responsible for his death, he did die. And once he died, he inadvertently became a martyr for all the emotion and anguish that he put into his music. Every song about death and pain, every angst filled scream and rebellious riff became instantly validated, because once he died, everyone said: "Whoa. He really meant it." " (it sounds kind of bad when taken out of context but READ the article SERIOUSLY)

wow...it made me change my mind on a few things and and disagree with other stuff I once thought about Kurt and Nirvana. Definatly a great article, and VERY well written and thought of! They are over rated now, and some of thy're songs where even then, like Teen Spirit, it's so over used and over rated I don't like it very much, atleast not the study version. But,anyway, that's me, I'm gald I read that, thanx for sharing Emma Kirt

Although the article was cleverly written, I do not agree with a lot of the things written. I don't really think that Nirvana started the pop punk movement. I think pop punk used to be something different like the Clash and maybe EVEN the Knack and other new wave acts. BUT, like most musical movements, it morphed into something ugly (pop punk like Good Plan and Simple Charlotte--or whoever the hell they are) after Nirvana. Same w/ rap, it used to define people from urban areas and show suburban America that life sucks for them, now it just talks about girls and drugs. Not to pick on rap, it was just an example.
