okay, so i'm sitting here listening to "molly's lips" and wondering what sort of impact nirvana would make if this song (or indeed any nirvana song, but this is just one example) came out tomorrow. i suppose you could argue that the era of grunge is dead and buried, and that you could pick any grunge/seattle band and put them into the twentyfirst century and they'd just sink because that era has passed and the spirit and the energy isn't right for that anymore. but, yes, thoughts please it's something to ponder.

Molly Lips is a Vaselines song...but I don't mean to be critical. umm...I would love it if that would happen, I wasn't old enough to remember or care when the grunge really took hold, so if bands like Screaming Trees and Mudhoney(I heard a rumor of AIC without Staley...)would start touring I'd love to see them. But I think your right, the probably wouldn;t make much on the tour because they wouldn't attract many(if any)new fans. It would just be all the people that know and love them from the early days. In my mind grunge is dead just because(i think)it was more of an attitude and a lifestyle, along with style of music. And not many people have the punk but not quite attitude anymore. And after 30 years punk is slowly dieing...it's sad.
Well, there's my opinion.
